The University of Ghana School of Law has successfully defended its title as champions of the 2026 Philip C. Jessup Ghana National Championship, which concluded at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Law Faculty from February 4–5, 2026.

This year’s competition brought together six law faculties across the country, all vying for a coveted spot at the Philip C. Jessup International Rounds to be held in April in Washington, D.C. The participating schools included:
- University of Ghana School of Law
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Faculty of Law
- University of Cape Coast (UCC) Faculty of Law
- University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Faculty of Law
- Mountcrest University College Faculty of Law
- Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Faculty of Law

After intense preliminary rounds, the University of Ghana School of Law and KNUST Faculty of Law emerged as finalists. The University of Ghana claimed the ultimate prize, securing their place as national champions. Both the University of Ghana and KNUST will proudly represent Ghana at the international rounds in Washington, D.C.

The championship also honored outstanding individual and team performances:
- Best Oralist (Preliminary & Final Rounds): Nana Adjoa Aseda Ebrah Addae
- 1st Runner-Up Best Oralist (Preliminary Rounds): Laud Nii Annang
- Best Combined Memorial: KNUST Faculty of Law
- Best Applicant Memorial: University of Cape Coast Faculty of Law
- Best Respondent Memorial: KNUST Faculty of Law
