The ceremony, known within the legal fraternity as the ‘Mini Call’, is organised to admit qualified Lawyers who for one reason or the other were not called/admitted during the main Call which is held before the start of the legal year.
Present at the occasion was the Chief Justice of Ghana, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkonoo, other members of the Bench and Senior Advocates at the Bar.
In her address, The Chief Justice implored the newly admitted lawyers have a profound sense of duty and responsibility and to let their actions reflect not merely ambition but also serve as a testament to the sacrifices of the forebearers of the legal profession.
As earlier reported in some media outlets, Elorm Ababio, popularly known as Ama Governor, who on two occasions was refused admission based on a petition to the General Legal Council on allegations of being unfit to be called to the Bar, finally walked the podium as a qualified Lawyer.
233legal.com wishes all the newly qualified Lawyers success and prosperity at the Bar.
