Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo V. The Republic of Ghana

On 30th June, 2025, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo (The Former Chief Justice) filed an application before the ECOWAS Court Justice, claiming among others, the violations of her rights to fair hearing, presumption of innocence and work as guaranteed under the Africa charter on human and people’s right.
On 24th June, 2026, the ECOWAS court of justice delivered its judgment.
