On 1st April, 2024, LawyersnCo, a legal society dedicated to legal networking, hosted its inaugural networking event in Accra. The gathering attracted young lawyers from legal departments and notable law firms across the country.

In line with the founding objectives – to be a major fulcrum for legal networking – attendees engaged in lively discussions covering a wide spectrum of topics relevant to the legal practice and profession.

Conversations/discussions ranged from navigating cultural shocks in the legal practice, business development strategies, building wealth as a lawyer, achieving work-life balance and prioritizing mental health.

The maiden edition offered a platform for airing matters pertinent to legal practice. Via Edwin A.

The event also provided a platform for participants to share insights, experiences and challenges, fostering a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among peers at the bar.

Some attendees shared their sense of the event with 233legal: Kwasi Okra Esq (N.dowouna & Co) observed that “The LawyersnCo networking brunch was an eye-opening experience. It offered a unique opportunity for authentic conversations and knowledge-sharing among young lawyers. The interactions offered a renewed sense of enthusiasm for my legal career”

For Valery-Lydia Asamoah Esq (S.K Boafo and Co) the event clearly held meaning for her as same was insightful. She stated that “the sharing of  individual experiences by colleague lawyers was a resource point and she looks forward to the next one”

Achieving work life balance and prioritising mental health was topical for these lawyers. Edwin A for 233 legal

Ultimately, LawyersnCo hopes to deploy its platform into a global community of young legal professionals with a commitment to fostering connections and empowering young lawyers to navigate the complexities of their profession, setting a promising trajectory for the future of legal networking.

Looking ahead, LawyersnCo. aims to expand its reach and impact, positioning itself as a leading force in shaping the future of legal networking.
