Judicial Service to Introduce shift system In Courts

Effective 25th March 2024, the Judicial Service of Ghana shall introduce a shift court system.

The shift system has been introduced to deal with the huge volumes of cases currently pending in the Courts.

In a communiqué issued on Thursday, 14th March, 2023 by the office of the Judicial Secretary, some selected courts under the new system would operate in the hours of 8:30am – 1: 30pm and between the hours of 2:00pm and 6: 30pm.

The new system would be piloted in the selected courts below.

 1.⁠ ⁠High Court 1 Adentan
 2.⁠ ⁠⁠High Court 2 Adentan
 3.⁠ ⁠⁠High Court 1 Amasaman
 4.⁠ ⁠⁠Circuit Court Weija
 5.⁠ ⁠⁠District Court LA
 6.⁠ ⁠⁠District Court Teshie
 7.⁠ ⁠⁠District Court A&B Madina
