Lawyer and Member of Parliament Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah has been charged before the High Court in Accra with conspiracy to commit intentional dissipation of public funds, intentionally causing financial loss to a public body, and money laundering.
The prosecution alleges, among other things, that an amount of GH¢9.85 million belonging to SIC Life was intentionally dissipated and that GH¢1 million was subsequently transferred to the then Managing Director of SIC Life.
